SBI Credit Card Enquiries
State Bank of India has provided its credit card customers with the following services for their credit card-related inquiries.
Regarding credit card theft – If your SBI credit card is stolen or lost, then you can contact SBI toll-free numbers 1800 180 1290 and 1860 180 1290 (tolled number) and get your credit card blocked. If you want to block a stolen or lost credit card, you can contact your city’s credit card representative on the city-wise help number 39 02 02 02 by entering the STD code of your city. You can block SBI Credit Card by going to the ‘Block Lost/Stolen Card’ section by visiting www.sbicard.com through online mode in case your SBI Credit Card is stolen or lost.
In case of theft or loss of SBI credit card, you can also block through the service. For this, only you have to type BLOCK<>XXXX from the message box of your registered mobile number and send it to 5676791. Here you have to enter the last four digits of your credit card number instead of XXXX.
In case of card block- If your SBI credit card is blocked due to any suspicious activity, then you can get it unblocked by contacting the customer care center.
Suppose your SBI Credit Card account has been permanently closed, and you wish to reactivate the same. In that case, you may request reactivation by contacting the Credit Card Customer Care Center within three months from the date of permanent closure of the Credit Card account.
Remember, if you request to restart the account after three months of the permanent account closure, you will have to apply for a new SBI credit card again.
In case of excessive use of credit card – If the credit limit of your SBI credit card gets exhausted and is blocked by the Bank due to you. So to unblock the card again, first of all, pay as soon as possible to bring down the usage amount above your SBI credit card limit.

SBI Ombudsman Scheme
The Ombudsman’s Bank has introduced an ombudsman scheme to resolve credit card holders’ grievances related to credit card services. The Reserve Bank of India has introduced Ombudsman Section 35A of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. Under the Ombudsman Scheme, consumers’ complaints related to credit cards are resolved, and the State Bank of India does proper settlement.
Ombudspersons are considered to be impartial and independent opinionated officers who give their free services. Sportsman investigates the complaints which are yet to be resolved by the Bank. If you do not receive a proper response from any platform of SBI Bank within 30 days, you can place your complaint with the Ombudsman.
