Step 1: First of all, reach your nearest Aadhaar Enrollment Center. You can locate your nearest Aadhaar Enrollment Center from the official website of UIDAI.
Step 2: Receive the Aadhaar Correction Form from the Enrollment Center Officer. You can easily download and print the Aadhaar Enrollment/Correction/Update Form by clicking on the link Download Aadhaar Update Form.
Step 3: Fill in the information asked in the Aadhar Card Update Form. Make sure that the information you have entered is correct.
Step 4: You must carry a signed copy of the document related to the type of correction you want to make to the Aadhar card.
Step 5: After filling the Aadhar Card Update Form, submit the form along with the documents to the Aadhar Enrollment Center Officer.
Step 6: Your Aadhaar updation process will be started by the Aadhaar Center Enrollment Officer, for which you will be charged ₹ 50 as prescribed by UIDAI.

How to Update Aadhar Card Information Online?
UIDAI has provided an online facility to update demographic data in the Aadhar card. To update Aadhaar online from the official website of UIDAI, follow the steps given below:
Step 1: First, go to Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal and click on the “Update your Address Online” link.
Step 2: If you have valid proof of address, click on the link “Proceed to Update Address”.
Step 3: New window will open, enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and click on the “Send OTP” or “Enter a TOTP” button.
Step 4: The system will send a Time Password (OTP) to the mobile number registered in the database of UIDAI.
Step 5: Enter the verification OTP to log in to your Aadhaar account. Alternatively, you can use the TOTP facility to verify the Aadhaar account.
Step 6: Select the “Update Address by Address Proof” or “Update Address vis Secret Code” option.
Step 7: Enter your residential address as mentioned in the recognized address proof, i.e. Proof of Address (POA) in the Aadhar Card Update Form, and click on the “Preview” button to view the updation.
Step 8: If you want to correct your address in Aadhar Card Update Form after preview, click on the “Modify” option and tick the declaration box.
Step 9: Click on the “Submit” button. Select the type of document you want to present as POA for verification from the dropdown list.
Step 10: After that, upload the scanned copy of the address proof using the Choose file option and click on the “Submit” button.
Step 11: Once submitted, the system will accept your Aadhaar update request, generating a 14 digit URN.
Step 12: You can use this 14 digit Aadhaar Update Request Number (URN) to check the Aadhaar Address Update Status online or offline.
Once UIDAI completes the update process, you can download the updated Aadhar card and get your Aadhar card print out and used it.
Update address in Aadhaar without document?
If you do not have any valid document proof to prove the residential address, you can still update your current residential address on your Aadhar card. You can use the address of the verifier as proof.
To update your address without a domicile certificate, you need to request for ‘Address Validation Letter. Before asking for the Address Validation Letter, keep the following points in mind.
Your address will be verified through an address validation letter in which a secret code will be sent to the address of the address verifier.
To update the Aadhar card address without a valid document, both resident and address verifier mobile number must be updated from Aadhar.
If the verifier fails to give its consent within the stipulated time frame after sending the address validation letter by UIDAI, your request will be rejected.

Step 2: A new section of “My Aadhar” will appear in the navigation on the home page. Under this section, click on the link “Update Aadhaar”.
Step 3: Select the option ‘Request for Address Validation Letter. A new page will open. Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number from the given box.
Step 4: Now, enter the “Captcha Verification” code and click on ‘Send OTP’ or ‘Enter TOTP’ as per your convenience.

How to Update Address in Aadhar Card?
UIDAI has provided the facility to the citizens to make changes in the Aadhar Card Democratic Data (Address, Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Mobile Number and Email ID) with the help of the Aadhar Card Update Form. If you want to update your address in the Aadhaar card using Aadhar Card Update Form, then follow the steps given below.
Step 1: To update the address in the Aadhar card with the help of the Aadhar Card Update Form, go to the Aadhar Self Service Update Portal https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/ssup/.
Step 2: If you have a valid residential certificate, click on ‘Proceed to Update Address’.
Step 3: If you do not have a valid residential certificate, then visit the official website of UIDAI and click on the link “Request for Address Validation Letter”.
Step 4: A new window will open with Enter your 12-digit Aadhar Card Number or 16 Digit Aadhar Card Virtual ID in the given column. Enter Digit Aadhaar Number or 16-Digit Number Virtual ID.
Step 5: Enter the given security verification code captcha in the box and click on ‘Send OTP’.

Step 10: You will be redirected to a new page. Fill in all the information that needs to be corrected in the given Aadhar Card Update Form. That is, enter your correct address. Now, fill in all the information that needs to be corrected, correct it, and write the complete address.

How to update the name in Aadhaar?
UIDAI has provided the facility to change the name in the Aadhar card online with the help of the Aadhar Card Update Form.
This facility is more necessary for those people whose name is not mentioned in the Aadhar card as per the original documents.
For example, if a person wants to link his Aadhar card with a PAN card and his name is different from the Aadhar card and PAN card, he will need to change his name in either of the documents. How to Change Name in Aadhar Card through Offline?
Step 1: First of all, visit your nearest Aadhaar centre and get the Aadhaar update form.
Step 2: Fill in all the information asked in the Aadhaar Update Form one by one and check whether all the information is correct according to the documents available or not.
Step 3: After filling the Aadhar Card Update Form, attach the relevant Identity Proof (POI) with the form and submit the Aadhar Correction Form / Aadhar Card Update Form along with the documents to the Enrollment Center Officer.

How to update/change your mobile number in Aadhaar?

UIDAI has also provided the facility to change the date of birth in the Aadhar card with the help of the Aadhar Card Update Form. Now you can change your date of birth through online or offline mode. But you can change the date of birth only once in a lifetime. To update your date of birth on Aadhar card, follow the steps:
Step 1: Visit the nearest Aadhaar Enrollment Center to update the date of birth by filling the Aadhar Card Update Form.

- The changes you make in the Aadhar Card Update Form should be correct and accurate, and you should have the documents related to their integrity.
